Description

Nos. 13 to 17 Albion Street is a warehouse that has been converted into offices, built around 1860 to 1870 and altered since then. The building is constructed of red brick with sandstone details and features a slate roof. It has a shallow U-shaped plan and is designed in the Venetian Gothic style, standing four storeys tall with a basement.

The facade has nine bays, with the left corner set back. It includes pilasters and sill bands on the upper floors, along with a brick corbelled frieze. There is a segmental-headed doorway at the corner and pointed-segmental arcaded windows at the ground floor of the left return wall, which are connected by impost bands. However, the showroom windows on the front wall have been altered. The upper floors feature three-light windows, with the first and second floors having cusped tracery, the second floor having segmental-headed windows, and the third floor having pointed-arched lights. The roof is hipped, while the rear and interior of the building have undergone alterations.
