Description

Old Hall Farmhouse is an early 18th-century building that was refronted after a fire in 1872, which is noted on the keystone of the arched entry. The farmhouse is constructed of red brick and features a symmetrical design with two storeys and five windows. The windows have keyed cambered heads, with sashes that include glazing bars on the first floor and margin-glazed panes on the ground floor. The entrance has a four-panel door with a plain fan above it. There is a first-floor sill band and painted quoins, while the slate roof is topped with a moulded gutter cornice. To the right, there is a two-bay extension that has four squat sash windows. Inside, the left-hand ground floor room includes fielded panelling, with a mantel flanked by fluted pilasters, and there are original shutters and window seats on the first floor. The staircase features a moulded swept rail, and the probably-spiral balusters are boxed in.
