Description

The Two Tubs Inn is a building of uncertain age, featuring 19th century render on 18th century brick cladding, which may be part of a timber frame that could date back to the 17th century or earlier. It stands two storeys high and has three sash windows, with the lower left-hand window being a double-width pair. The doorway is framed by an early 19th century canopy supported by slender Ionic columns, positioned to the right of the paired window and adjacent to a chimney. There is a boarded door at the right end that retains a vestigial Tudor lead. The left gable has two small sliding sash windows. A metal water spout on the building is dated "IBM 1747". The roof is made of stone slabs and features tall stacks, including gable stacks.
