Description
Lower Chesham is part of a large house built in 1713, reflecting a 17th-century style. The structure is made of coursed squared stone and has three storeys. It features two windows, although the top right-hand window is missing. The ground floor has a four-light mullioned window, while the floor above has a three-light window; both are transversed except for the top storey. To the left, there is a blocked doorway with a moulded architrave surround. The building has two string courses and a cornice, topped with a stone slab roof. The gables are coped and have ball finials at the angles and apex. Inside, notable features include a fine staircase and a decorated plaster ceiling. The mullioned stair window is fitted with leaded lights.
