Description

Scotson Fold Farmhouse is a building from the 17th century or earlier. It features a square-panel timber frame with wind-braces located below the eaves, and it likely has 19th-century brick infill. The farmhouse stands on a stone plinth and is 2½ storeys tall, comprising three bays. There is a window in each of the outer bays on the upper floor and one in the middle bay on the ground floor, although the glazing is modern. The farmhouse is believed to have a connection with the Radcliffe family dating back to 1664 or earlier.
