Description

The Manor House, together with The Crest and The Nook, is a detached house of several periods, possibly dating back to the 17th century. It has been sub-divided into three separate residences. The front facade is of brick, featuring eight windows, most of which are sash windows. The two windows on the left are situated within a gable, embellished with simply-moulded bargeboards. Two similar windows are located in a slightly advanced gable section, distinguished by flush stone quoins on the corner. These gable sections likely originate from the 18th century, but now incorporate 20th-century bow windows on the ground floor. To the right is a more prominently advanced section, probably dating from the early to mid-19th century, with a three-window canted bay, a dentilled cornice, and a hipped roof. In the middle section of the rear elevation are two stone-mullioned windows at the upper level, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier 18th century.
