Building at Former Arcon Engineering approximately 40 metres north east of Wallsuches House

This former factory building, located approximately 40 meters northeast of Wallsuches House, dates from the late 18th century and was built for the Wallsuches Bleach Works. It is constructed of dressed stone with quoins and features a slate roof. The building is two stories high and consists of seven bays, with the sixth and seventh bays projecting and currently roofless. The windows have narrow lintels and casements, with the first-floor windows featuring small panes; one ground-floor window is blocked. There are large round-headed archways in the second and sixth/seventh bays. An octagonal-faced clock is situated in the gabled dormer between the second and third bays. The Wallsuches Bleach Works, established in 1775, was one of the first chemical bleach works in the country, making this building a rare and early example of its kind.
