Description
Prestolee Bridge over the River Irwell is a packhorse bridge built in the late 18th century, predating the nearby aqueduct. It is constructed from stone and features five elliptical arches with alternating projecting voussoirs. The bridge has cutwaters and flat piers, along with a band and parapet. Notably, the bridge is only 5 feet wide.
