Description

This is a late 18th-century house, one of a row of three, located in Parkgate Village, Neston, and designed by George Cripps. The house is constructed of red brick with a timber porch and has a shallow-pitched slate roof with rendered end stacks. It follows an L-shaped plan.

The front facade is two storeys high with three windows, extending into one bay of a taller two-storey house to the right. A flat-roofed, canted porch with closely spaced ribs and rails and a four-centred arch contains a four-panel bolection moulded door. Recessed sash windows with glazing bars and stone sills are present on both floors; the ground floor window of the house to the right has louvred shutters. The left return side features a two-storey canted bay window, two French windows, and recessed sash windows.

Inside, there is a six-panel door, panelled shutters to the sash windows, and a staircase with a curtail step and cut and bracketed string.
