Description
Maplewood is a house located in Parkgate Village, dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior features whitened roughcast with painted quoins and a 20th-century concrete tile roof with gable end stacks. The building is two stories high and has a two-window front. A half-glazed gabled porch with double leaf doors leads to a glazed and panelled replacement front door. To the right of the porch is a three-light mullioned and transomed window, while the first floor has two two-light cross windows. All windows are small-pane casements set in quoined surrounds, complete with painted stone sills and lintels. Inside, most of the six-panel doors have been retained.
