Description

This is a pair of early 19th-century town houses located on Cuppin Street in Chester. The front of the houses are built of pale brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a grey slate roof running parallel to the street. The houses are three storeys high and one bay wide each. They have a painted stone plinth, and the windows are recessed sash windows with painted stone sills and wedge lintels.

On the first storey, from west to east, is a boarded door in a round-arched back passage, a two-panel and four-fielded panel door to No.18, two 12-pane sashes, and a two-fielded and two-plain panel door. Each door has a decorative case with plain pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. The second storey has two 12-pane sashes, and the third storey has two 9-pane sashes and a cyma cornice. The rear of the first storey has a projecting section. The upper rear storey has two recessed 12-pane sashes. The interior of the houses has not been inspected.
