Description
Nos. 15 and 17 White Friars are two small town houses that have been converted into an office. They likely have late medieval origins but display an early 19th-century exterior, with internal features removed or covered in the late 20th century. The front is constructed of brown brick in Flemish bond, topped with a grey slate roof that runs parallel to the street. The buildings have cellars and three storeys. Each house features a door with two flush panels beneath four fielded panels, topped with a plain overlight in a timber pilastered case. There is a recessed 12-pane sash window on the first storey, with a small hood over No. 15. The second storey has two recessed 12-pane sashes, while the third storey has two recessed 9-pane sashes. All sash windows are fitted with painted stone sills and wedge lintels with cambered soffits. A painted stone cornice runs along the top, and there are two chimneys at the ridge. The interior does not have any visible features of special interest.
