Description

Kelsall Hall is an early 18th-century farmhouse, extended in the later 18th century and with its front facade remodelled in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of washed and rendered English bond red brick, with a Welsh slate roof and two gable brick chimneys. The building has an L-shaped plan. The south front has two storeys and four bays. Features include a chamfered stone plinth, a brick band at first-floor level, and a stepped brick cornice. Windows are 12-pane sashes with flat, wedged stone surrounds and stone sills. The third bay features a basket-arched entrance with a wooden doorcase consisting of plain columns and a triangular pediment holding a half-glazed door. The right side of the building has a stone-coped and kneelered gable along with bands at the first and second floor levels. The interior was not inspected.
