Description
Nos. 14, 15, and 16 Priory Place are a row of three cottages built in 1900 for the Chester Cottage Improvement Company. They are constructed from stone-dressed brown brick and feature a grey slate roof, standing two storeys tall. Each cottage has three doors, each with one step and four tall thin panels below a cross-panel with leaded glazing. The doors have stone lintels, with one lintel dated 1900. Each cottage also has a stone-mullioned, flush-quoined, three-light leaded casement window.
A brick band runs along the first floor, and there are stone mullions and flush quoins on the leaded casements, which include one three-light and one one-light window for each cottage. The cottages have cast-iron rainwater pipes and a quasi-dormer gable above the pair of windows for each unit, with a central panel inscribed "C:CI:C". Brick chimneys are present as well. The rear of the cottages has a simpler design. The interiors were not inspected.
