Description
Nos. 11, 12, and 13 Priory Place are a row of three cottages built in 1899 for the Chester Cottage Improvement Company. They are constructed from stone-dressed brown brick featuring blue diapering and topped with a grey slate roof that runs parallel to the front. The cottages are two storeys high and each has three doors, which have one step and four tall thin panels beneath a cross-panel with leaded glazing. The doors have stone lintels, with the lintel above No. 12 dated 1899. Each cottage features a stone-mullioned, flush-quoined three-light leaded casement window.
On the first floor, there is a brick band and stone mullions with flush quoins for the leaded casements, which include one three-light and one one-light window for each cottage. The cottages also have cast-iron rainwater pipes. Above the pair of windows for each cottage, there is a quasi-dormer gable with a panel inscribed "C : CI : C" above the central gable, and brick chimneys. The rear of the cottages is simply detailed. The interiors were not inspected.
