Description
Pearl Farmhouse is probably of mid-17th century origin. The original oak timber frame has been replaced with brick on the right-hand side and in the right gable end. The roof is grey slate, likely formerly thatched. The farmhouse is one-and-a-half storeys high with three windows on the lower floor and two dormers above. The front door is made of five oak boards, set within an oak gabled porch that has one window to the left and two to the right; the right-hand window is original, while the right-hand dormer contains a 19th-century wood casement, and the other windows have been replaced in the 20th century. A three-flue brick chimney is located immediately behind the porch. The interior features a lobby entrance, back-to-back inglenooks (one of which has been filled in), oak beams with stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, and some broad-board doors.
