Description
This building is an outbuilding that forms the east side of the former stable yard to the east of Twemlow Hall. It is likely from the mid-18th century and was originally a carriage house. The structure is made of red brick and is one storey high. It was originally symmetrical in design. The central section is slightly advanced and features a low gable with an ashlar-framed pitching eye above a vehicular archway. This archway has ashlar jambs, imposts, and a depressed arch made of voussoirs with a keystone. On each side of the archway, there are three sash windows. The leftmost windows have Victorian-style glazing, while the far-right window has 16 panes. The other two windows have been altered to create a door and an enlarged window. The building has a hipped slate roof topped with a hexagonal belfry, which is surrounded by a dome and a weather vane.
