Description

Roadside Cottage is a house dated 1760, built in red Flemish bond brick with a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features a three-bay road front that is symmetrically arranged. The central part of the building slightly projects forward and has a gable. There is a door on the ground floor, with cambered-headed windows on either side that have splayed heads. The first floor mirrors this arrangement, with a similar window layout and a blind window in the center. A rectangular datestone is located on the gable. An addition was made to the right side of the cottage in 1979.
