Description

This is a terrace of 17 houses with weavers' garrets, built around 1840. The houses are three stories high and each has a single-room, double-pile plan, designed to fit the steeply sloping site. The buildings are constructed of brick with Welsh slate roofs. The original design included round-arched doorways with renewed six-panelled doors, and steps with iron railings lead to the upper houses. Each house has four-pane sash windows with flat-arched heads, and long garret windows with horizontally sliding sash windows are present on each elevation. A round-arched passage entry is located towards the centre of the terrace.
