Description
1 Swan Bank is a building likely dating from the early 19th century, although its core may be older. It has undergone modern alterations. The structure is made of red brick and consists of two storeys. The left-hand side features a plain gable with one window, while the front has three modern wooden casement windows with glazing bars and wooden shutters, as well as a modern bow window with glazing bars on the ground floor. The entrance includes a modern doorway with a glazed door, and the building has coved eaves and a slate roof. At the rear, there is a projecting two-storey wing that dates from the late 16th or early 17th century, which is timber framed with brick and plaster infilling, and it has 19th-century iron casement windows and a slate roof. No 1 Swan Bank forms a group with Nos 6 to 12 (even) Little Street.
