Description
The summer house in the grounds of Newfield Hall is a small structure believed to have originally served as an elaborate privy, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate hipped roof topped with a ball finial. The exterior includes a casement window with a moulded pilaster surround, roundels at the corners, and a pulvinated frieze. The door has a boarded external face and a rail and muntin internal face set within a dowelled frame. Inside, there is a wide arched recess. This building is included in the listing for its group value context.
