Description
This outbuilding, located about 5 yards to the northwest of Great Oak Farmhouse, dates from the mid to late 18th century, with an early 19th-century addition. It is constructed of red Flemish bond brick and coursed rubble, topped with a slate roof. The building has two storeys.
The front features a rubble plinth and ashlar quoins. There is a basket arch located to the right of the center, with a basket-arched pedestrian door at the extreme right, and two diamond-patterned breathers positioned above. To the left of the arch, there is another ground floor basket-arched door, along with additional doors at the center and far left. Above these doors, there are diamond-shaped breathers and a square pitch hole on the first floor to the left, along with a datestone that has been erased, located to the right. The left side of the building includes a later two-bay portion.
