Description
Brookbank Farmhouse is an early 17th-century farmhouse constructed of brown brick with a slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring three bays. The windows are three-light flush casements with glazing bars, stone sills, and flat cambered arches. There is a tall staircase window and remnants of a sandstone plinth. A lean-to on the east side includes a boarded door set in a heavy frame. The farmhouse has gable end stacks.
Inside, the farmhouse showcases deep bevelled beams and an ogee moulded beam, along with a moulded inglenook beam. It features boarded doors on "HL" hinges and Jacobean two-panel doors. The dogleg staircase is adorned with splat balusters. On the first floor, there are boarded doors on old strap hinges and ovolo moulded beams. In the attic, there are timbers in an internal wall and a Queen Anne style six-panel door.
