Description
The forecourt walls, gate, and railings in front of the left part of the former Donnison School, built in 1827 and now serving as the caretaker's cottage for Holy Trinity Church, are listed. These features connect the wall that extends forward from the left end of the cottage to the projecting right section of the former school. The brick wall, which has been rendered, features an elliptical-section stone coping. The wrought-iron railings are topped with cast-iron finials on the principal posts and include spike-headed railings and dog bars. The gate piers are formed by two uprights that are joined together and topped with cast-iron urn finials.
