Description
Brinkburn Farmhouse is a late 18th to early 19th century building constructed of ashlar with rusticated quoins and a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features parapets on the gable walls with stone copings. The main south elevation consists of three bays, with all windows re-glazed. The central entrance is framed by a modern gabled porch. The north elevation is rendered and has an irregular arrangement of re-glazed windows, including a staircase window and a later two-storey addition. Each gable has a single window that illuminates the roof space. This farmhouse is possibly the only ashlar-built house of its period still standing within the former borough.
