Description

The garden wall located to the southeast of Southgarth West is likely from the early 18th century and separates the gardens of Southgarth West and Southgarth East. It is constructed of brick and rubble stone, featuring red brick laid in English Garden Wall bond, with a pattern of five and one on a sloping-topped rubble plinth. The wall has sloped coping with a flat top. Notably, the top of the wall has been replaced at the northern end, and a buttress has been added approximately 15 yards from the southern end.
