Description
Lilybank Cottage is a house built in the early 19th century, with a rear extension added in the late 19th or early 20th century. The cottage is constructed from coursed rubble with large quoins, while the extension is made of brick. It features a Welsh slate roof with stone gable copings and ashlar-corniced end brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has a three-bay front with a two-storey rear addition.
The central entrance has a Tuscan doorcase with an overlight that includes glazing bars. The windows are sash style, most of which are boarded up, and they have pecked stone lintels. All windows except for the one in the ground floor first bay have glazing bars. Inside, there is a central enclosed staircase, four-panelled doors, shutters, and one early 19th-century iron grate. At the time of the survey, the cottage was undergoing restoration, and one door was missing.
