Description
The building is a flour mill, later used as a warehouse, and now serves as a workshop. It was constructed around 1840 and is made of brick with ashlar dressings, featuring a rear basement that faces the river. The structure has four storeys and consists of three bays, with two additional bays set back on the left side. There are three high vehicle entrances that have segmental brick arches supported by two cast iron columns. The outer brick piers are fitted with cast-iron fenders and stone impost blocks, while the brick springers above the central columns are clad in iron. Inside the arches, there are double doors that rest under wooden lintels. The upper floors are adorned with two-light openings that also have segmental brick arches and projecting stone sills. The roof is low-pitched and hipped. The rear elevation facing Ouseburn features a central gabled hoist. At the time of the survey, part of the building was obscured by scaffolding.
