Description
A terrace of thirteen houses, numbered 38 to 52, is located on the east side of Gosforth High Street. The houses date from around 1840 and are constructed of sandstone ashlar with a Welsh slate roof. The terrace is two storeys high, with each house originally having three bays, except for number 48 which has two bays. Each house features a four-panelled door with an overlight; the sash windows have late 19th-century glazing bars set within architraves with bracketed sills. Number 48 has a bracketed door canopy and a full-height, five-light canted bay window.
