Description
This is a mid-19th century lodge, originally serving Coxlodge Hall and now a private residence. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar with a plinth and has a graduated Lakeland slate roof. The lodge is a single storey with three bays. The central bay features a four-panel door set within an elliptical-headed surround, recessed between pilasters that incorporate shallow niches. Three sash windows, each with a similar elliptical head to its architrave and curved glass without glazing bars, are set in bowed projections on either side of the door. Saw-edged boot scrapers project from the niches flanking the door. The hipped roof has corniced ashlar end chimneys.
