Description
The Royal Tank Regiment War Memorial is a war memorial located at the south end of Barras Bridge in Newcastle upon Tyne, built around 1920 by J. Reid. It is constructed from Portland stone and features granite steps, a bronze statue, and bronze bands, along with an enamel plaque. The memorial includes curved steps leading to a terrace in front of low curved seats, which have inscribed bands on their backs and end in low square piers. At the center stands a pedestal that displays an enamel depiction of St. George and the dragon, supporting a life-size figure of the same theme.
