Description
This is a terrace of three houses located on the east side of Gosforth High Street, dating to around 1840. The buildings are constructed of sandstone ashlar with a plinth, quoins, and a Welsh slate roof featuring stone gable copings. Each house is two storeys high and comprises five bays. Steps lead to the front doors, which are set within architraves and are 4-panelled. The windows are sash windows, fitted with late 19th-century glazing bars, and have flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. A gutter cornice runs along the top of the building, and there are corniced ashlar chimneys. The terrace is documented in Richard Welford’s 1879 history of the parish of Gosforth.
