Description

The Gunner Tower is a Grade I listed town wall tower located on the west side of Pink Lane in Newcastle upon Tyne. It dates from the late 13th century to the early 14th century and is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings. The tower has a semi-circular plan and stands seven courses high, featuring a double chamfer and modern chamfered coping. It is also designated as a scheduled ancient monument.
