Description
The terrace at 5 to 23 Regent Terrace was built around 1852 to 1862. It is constructed of local pinkish brick with stone dressings and has Welsh slate roofs. The terrace is stepped to follow the slope of the land. The houses are mostly two storeys high, with most having three windows to the front, though a few have two or five. Architectural details include a stone plinth, stone architraves and aprons to the ground floor windows, a cill band and lintels to the first floor, a top frieze and eaves cornice. The windows are sash windows, some with margin lights, although some of the glazing is modern and replaces the original. A small number of dormers have been added. Each house has a four-panel door with an oblong fanlight, accessed by stone steps.
