Description

No. 78 High Street is an 18th-century house that has been rough rendered. It features a stepped and diagonal brick eaves cornice, which may date from the 19th century. The building has a high-pitched, swept pantiled roof with a chimney at the left end. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and consists of one bay. The upper window in the gable end breaks the eaves. While the shopfront is modern, there is a 19th-century pilastered doorcase. This building is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
