Description

Ridley House is a mid-to-late 18th-century house situated on the east side of Yarm High Street. The house is constructed of local brick, with a stone band running along the first floor window sills. The roof has been renewed with modern concrete tiles, and a chimney is located at the right end. The window lintels are stuccoed, and the windows are early 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars and stone sills. To the right of the house is an elliptical carriage arch with a keystone. A six-panel door is at the left, accompanied by an oblong fanlight within a quasi-classical surround.
