Description
The Old Zetland School is a former school building from 1871, now converted into a private house. It is constructed of dressed sandstone with quoins and features Welsh slate roofs. The building is single storey and has three bays. The central projecting porch includes a round-headed doorway with a moulded head, a faceted keystone, flat pilasters, block capitals, and renewed double half-glazed doors with a fanlight beneath a stepped gable. There are paired round-headed windows with hopper lights that have similar surrounds. A string course at the eaves continues across the porch, which has hipped roofs. The returns of the porch also have similar windows, situated below an embattled parapet. At the rear, there is a long wing that is gabled at the north end, maintaining the architectural style.
