Description
The storage building located north-west of Marske Hall is a late 18th-century structure that has been altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings, and the east elevation facing the yard is rendered. The building features a pantiled roof with stone gable copings and is single storey with four bays. The east front includes double vehicle doors in the second bay beneath a wooden lintel, a Dutch door in the fourth bay under a thin wooden lintel, and a horizontal sliding sash window with two 4-pane lights in the first bay. The roof is topped with stone gable copings, and the right return gable has a small vent-slit at the peak. Inside, the building displays tie beam roof trusses. This structure is part of a significant group of buildings surrounding Marske Hall and is included for its group value.
