Description
This is a mid-18th century house located on High Street, Marske. The exterior is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with a roof covered in concrete tiles. The roof has stone gable coping and stone and brick chimneys. The house is two storeys high and has a two-window front. A step leads up to a central, renewed uPVC half-glazed door, set beneath a flat stone lintel. The ground floor windows are renewed uPVC windows, also beneath stone lintels; the lintel on the right-hand window has a small inserted block positioned slightly to the right of the centre. The roof features end chimneys, one of stone on the left and one of brick on the right. The rear of the property has a doorway centrally placed to the left, with a square window to its left and another to its far right. Above this arrangement is a central square window, with two smaller square windows to the left and a larger window to the right, all of which are uPVC casement windows. The interior of the property has not been inspected. The house was altered in the late 20th century.
