Description
This gazebo, built in 1921 by Robert Mauchlen for Sir Angus Watson, is located approximately 20 yards north of Whitton Grange. It is constructed from dressed stone and features a roof made of graduated slate and stone slates. The structure is square in shape and has an open front supported by two square corniced piers that hold a chamfered oak lintel. The roof is steeply pyramidal and edged with stone slates.
The side walls are partly open, standing about 2 feet high and connecting to the piers, with a steep ramp leading to full height at the back. The rear wall includes a four-light mullioned window with leaded casements, providing a view over the valley.
