This milestone, dating from the mid-18th century, is located about a quarter of a mile south of the Hartington road end. Made of sandstone, it stands approximately 18 inches high and features two faces with a rounded back. One face is inscribed with "RB" for Rothbury, while the other displays "H" for Hexham.
