Description
Whitehouse Lime Kilns are limekilns built in two stages, both from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from squared stone and brick. The kiln on the right features a high segmental yellow-brick arch, which is corbelled down inside to a low brick wall that has two small cast-iron drawing eyes. The kiln on the left has two lower red-brick arches treated in a similar manner. Behind the kilns, there are well-preserved oval pots; the one on the right is lined with stone, while the one on the left is lined with engineering brick.
