Description

This early 19th-century building occupies the corner where Paikes Lane meets Bondgate and Narrowgate, curving slightly. It is three storeys high and originally had four windows. The facade is constructed of both dressed and rock-faced ashlar, topped with a slate roof and featuring three chimneys, two of which are made of ashlar. The second floor has late-glazed sash windows, and the first floor windows have marginal glazing. A late 19th- or early 20th-century shop front is present on the left side, featuring two fascia brackets and tripartite doors. A 20th-century plate glass shop front occupies the centre, and another is located on the corner. A central shop front is present. To the right are two doors, the door to number 10 has six panels, while the door to number 10A is plain.
