Description

The churchyard cross, located 15 metres north-east of the Church of St. Mary, dates from around 1890 and was given by Viscount Ridley. It is constructed of ashlar stone, with an enclosing wall made of tooled ashlar. The cross is accessed by five steps leading up to a raised rectangular platform, which features a tall Celtic cross at the west end. The cross is adorned with interlace ornamentation, and the east side of the base is inscribed with the words "CONSTANS. FIDEI." Surrounding the cross is a low enclosing wall, which includes angle pilasters and has chamfered coping.
