Description
This is an engine house chimney located 180 metres west of The Holme, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of squared stone with a brick top and has a later dressed stone top extension. The chimney is tall and tapering with a slightly wider brick section at the top, which is above a roll-moulded band. There is a short, narrow cylindrical stone extension and a blocked round-arched opening near the base. This chimney is the only remaining feature of a colliery drift mine and holds landscape value.
