Description
Heather Cottage and Haven Cottage is a terrace of cottages dating from the 18th century, which were remodeled in the mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed of rubble with cut quoins and dressings, and they are whitewashed. They feature Welsh blue slate roofs with brick stacks. The cottages are one storey plus attics and have four irregular bays. Near the center of the row, there are two boarded doors; one has a plain overlight and the other has a three-pane overlight. There are two additional doors that are within 20th-century pent porches. The ground-floor windows include six eight-pane sashes and three twelve-pane sashes. Above, there are four half dormers with nine-pane casements set in stone surrounds, which are positioned under coped gables on moulded kneelers. The left gable is coped, and there are three rebuilt ridge stacks, with the one on the right sitting on an old stone base, along with one small stack on the front roof slope. The pent porches and the adjacent bungalow at the east end are not considered to be of special interest.
