Description

The Lions House is a 18th-century building that stands as a tall and imposing landmark, facing east across the river's open mouth, and is a free-standing neighbor to the Magazine. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features rusticated quoins and scrolled gables. The building has three storeys, with a central doorway that includes a decorative fanlight. There are four sash windows on the ground floor and five sash windows on each of the upper floors.
