Description

The Spearman headstone, located 5 metres south of the tower of the Church of St. Cuthbert, dates from 1800 and is made of sandstone. It features a relief-carved cartouche adorned with two cherubs, surrounded by foliage and various symbols of mortality. The inscription commemorates Ann, the wife of Edward Spearman, who was associated with Shipwash Mill.
