Description
Barclays Bank is a late 18th-century building that was originally a house and is now used as a bank. The front is made of brick in English Garden Wall Bond, featuring one course of headers and four courses of stretchers, with cut stone quoins and dressings. The rear elevation is constructed of stone and has a rendered outshut. The roof is covered with 20th-century pantiles and has brick stacks. The building stands two and a half storeys high and has three bays. The left bay contains a renewed door with a four-pane overlight, while the right side features renewed tripartite sash windows. On the first floor, there are renewed 16-pane sashes, and above them, there are 8-pane casements. All window and door openings are adorned with moulded keystones. The gables are coped and have moulded kneelers, with banded end stacks.
