Description
This cottage, built around 1840, is located 40 metres south-west of Thropton Bridge. It is constructed from rubble with cut dressings and features a mixed blue and purple slate roof. The building is single-storey and has two bays. It has a chamfered plinth and a vertical-panelled door positioned left of centre. To the left, there is a 2-light mullioned window, and to the right, a 3-light window, both holding casements that are partly metal latticed, set in chamfered surrounds. The cottage has coped gables and stepped-and-corniced end stacks. The right side of the building displays a small window and a blind slit in the gable, and there is a contemporary outshut at the rear.
